Quote of the Day: What the Queen Bey can Teach Us

“It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.” ~ E. E. Cummings

After a relaxing evening of music and delicious wine, I am guilty of being a little a lazy (and drinking lots of water) this morning by doing a “treadmill” run. It was taking me way too long for me to get myself together and get my zombie ass out the door at my desired time to do an early morning “solo” run.  Anyhoo, I think I’ve begun sort of weekend routine — workout, Saturday morning chores, a drive-by read thru a few of my favorite online reads, then doing what I not only look forward to but excited about… this blog. 🙂

Today I was noticed the title of the latest post on IFB, “Queen B: What Beyonce can teach us about blogging.”  Of course the imaginary sound of a needle scratch on vinyl popped in my head, but I clicked and began to read. Another great and inspiring post (click on the title in this paragraph to read more of this post written by Taylor Davies) here are four inspiring and key points to keep in mind in whatever you choose to pursue in life.

1) command respect

2) manage yourself

3) be personal up to a certain point

4)  there’s nothing weak or wrong about showing our femininity

Below is a quote taken from what I read and would love to share and inspire my fellow “Sistrens” as well as urge all the young women out there growing up during these challenging to continue to dream, get focused, work hard and make sure you inspire others as well.
